For years I worked in IT—starting at a small internet provider called AccessUS, then Bank of America downtown St. Louis, and eventually as a Level 2 Software Engineer at Mastercard in O’Fallon. Good work, good career. But my real education in what “clean” actually means came from somewhere else entirely.

My mother was a surgical nurse for 45 years. She spent 38 of those at St. Elizabeth’s in Belleville, IL, and her last seven at Redbud before retiring. From her I learned the difference between something that looks clean and something that genuinely meets a rigorous standard. I also watched what 45 years of hard physical work does to a body.

That second lesson shapes how I run this company. I pay my team a living wage—not as a marketing line, but because I’ve seen the real cost of treating physical labor as disposable. You hear a lot about “America first,” and I’d just ask: does that extend to actually paying the people doing the work? That’s how we attract and keep the best cleaners in the business.

I came to cleaning almost by accident. A friend needed volunteers to help clean Fresenius dialysis clinics. I showed up, put on a podcast, zoned out, and realized I genuinely enjoyed it—the rhythm, the order, the satisfaction of a space done right. That experience led me to open my first company on the West Coast, which did well.

But this is home. St. Louis is where I grew up, where I’ve been married since 2013, where my stepkids and my two nephews are. It felt right to bring everything I’d learned back here and build something for this community. I also kept building. The operations platform I built to run both companies—scheduling, customer communications, quality tracking—runs on AI I developed myself. No off-the-shelf software did what I needed, so I wrote it. No corporate layers—just a local owner who answers the phone and stands behind every job.
